The story of a photographer

Hey, I'm so happy you are here. My name is Emily, I'm the photographer at Grace and Faith Photography and I'm heading into my fifth year capturing your memories! Photography is a huge part of my family's story. When my husband and I first started dating he was the Tech Director at our church. Naturally he recruited me to help him shoot video. He taught me all I needed to know and sent me on my way as his second shooter. I fell in love with setting up the shot and capturing moments. I quickly learned my passion lied in still frames and he bought me my first camera. A short year later we were married and not long after that, our first daughter was born. The focus of my camera fell on her and her sister, who was born a short 19 months later. My passion of capturing special moments grew with them. They became my little models and I took hundreds of photos of them and their little brother. My business was truly started with them. Friends started asking me to take photos of their kids and my business was born. When I went to name my business I knew I had to incorporate my kids. I finally decided to use the girl's middle names. They are still always my test models and you will see the three of them sprinkled all over this site. If I had to define my style of photography I'd say I'm a lifestyle photographer. I love to play with light and the lines of our surroundings. Most importantly I love to capture who you are. I strive to make every shoot personalized so your images reflect your personality. I truly believe photography can tell the story of who you are and I'm honored to capture those moments.
